Hi,
I have a sad problem with the 5 knob compressor.
My led works, bypass works, Level works, but all the rest don't !
Ratio only send dry signal, no wet ! So when I turn it clockwise, I have no sound. I've just purchased a new chip at Small Bear.
Anyone has any idea where the problem could be ?
Thank you

There is something that creates doubts in my head ! Is that normal that the chip doesn't go "fully" in the socket ?

Hi Wil. Looks like you soldered (almost) everything from the top of the PCB? Seems to me like something may be poorly soldered in the process. Try resoldering on the bottom of the board. Just a little solder to make sure the components are all properly joined.

Follow Knight's advice and solder the components from the underside of the PCB. You probably have a bad joint somewhere. You may have to remove the pots to get to the bottom of the board now.

Thanks for the piece of advice. My problem was that the chip badly inserted in socket. And the problem is still there, if it moves, bye bye compressor, and I have to open the pedal. But it's not a big big problem !
I wanna buy a fourth BYOC kit, after the overdrive 2 (Mosfet spec), the esv fuzz and the 5 knobs.
I think my choice would be the Triboost because I heard the reverb wasn't very usable. And I think I would prefer the one of my VOX. But I want I fender reverb "sound-alike", ("then buy a Fender amp"... yes... If they lower their prices I'm only a student)

You might want to try a little hot glue on the chip to hold it in the socket better.

I haven't tried the reverb but I have the triboost and I use it quite a bit.
