Is it possible to hard wire that switch to echo mode? yeah. right? so if i can do that, how can i get both the ping time and the pong time on one pot instead of being spread out on two? is that even possible? could i just run both sets of wires to 1 pot? im thinking, stupid question but i figured id post and see

thanks

Hey Tooly!

Absolutely. Just leave the toggle switch out and jumper the top two rows of pcb pads where the switch usually goes. I.E. jumper switch pads 1to 2, 4 to 5, and 7 to 8 with the switch lugs being named like this:
1 4 7
2 5 8
3 6 9

Not with a normal pot, but you can do it with a dual ganged pot.

http://www.buildyourownclone.com/storepots.html

Order the B100K DUAL GANG 16mm pot. Put a 47K or 56K resistor across lugs 1 and 3 of each gang of the pot to knock it down to 50K, and wire each gang to the pcb. Done!

thank you sir! now off to search out how to add an FX loop or maybe just a dry or wet output, cant decide which would be more useful.......thoughts?

Dry signal = R5, wet signal = R6.

I saw in the stereo ping pong post about taking the output B from the pong chip to a separate output buffer then to another out jack. Which part of the schematic is the output buffer so i could recreate it for this stereo out. and also, is there a way to maybe use a switching jack or something fancy like that for the option of both chips into one out jack still? like i could have 1 normal out jack and when i plugged into the second out jack they would become stereo?

One problem with taking the output from B is that we'll need to create another feedback loop or else you'll only get one repeat on the second output. What do you want the second output to do? We were talking about hard-wiring the circuit into echo mode, so do you just want stereo outs? We're not talking about using the ping pong function to send independent delays to separate outs, right? It seems like usually with delays, stereo outs involve one out with dry signal only and one with mix; like the BYOC analog delay.

So, if i wanted a 2nd output, i could just take the dry signal from R5? maybe could i run R5 and R6 to a B100k pot then to the 2nd output? so i could have the option of a totally dry out or mix on both outs for a cheap version of stereo outs?

Thanks again Morgan

If you want a second output, you'll also need to build a second output section, something that looks like the stuff around IC1b. Yeah, you could try a mix control like byoc does it; split R5 & R6 into two 4.7k resistors in series (each one), attached lug 1 or 3 from the pot to where each 4.7k meets, tie the center lug to ground or V+.
