Hi, I just finished the digital reverb pedal, and it generally sounds great, but I'm noticing that when when it's on, some bass gets cut, and the volume gets cut a bit as well. I found this similar topic from a few years ago, but the person who posted it didn't say whether he or she figured out the problem: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=20980&p=160576&hilit=reverb+destroys#p160576

I've double checked all the component values, soldering, wiring, etc. (of course it's still possible that I missed something).

Here is a sound sample:

That's a G&L Blues Boy in the neck humbucker position through a DIY Foxx Tone Machine to a Reeves Custom 12. The reverb's knobs are all turned 100% counter-clockwise (so, no reverb effect heard in the recording). The first bit is without the reverb pedal on.. then you hear a click when I turn it on.

I hear the same thing in the clean tone, but it's less obvious and it didn't come through well in a recording. I also hear the same thing when I use different distortion/fuzz/overdrive pedals with the reverb pedal.

I also added a Boss pedal in various spots in the chain to see if its buffer would help, but no difference.

Attached is a screen shot of the waveform in garage band. You can see that the volume dips when I turn on the reverb.

I'll add some pictures of the pedal circuit shortly. Any ideas are appreciated.

Thanks,
Bryan

Here's a recording with an OCD (guitarpcb.com ODC1), slight reverb, same guitar, but single-coil bridge pickup.

Wow, somehow I missed this thread: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=37704

I'll give those changes a try and reply here with the results.

Changing the 33K to 47K helps a lot. Still slight tone loss, but that might just be normal. It overall sounds really good.

Was just playing with mine, and noticed a similar thing with the tone. But I don't think it is actually a loss of bass. To me, it sounds like the effect causes the bass to be swallowed a little. It is hard to explain, but it is like the bass is in the back of the room and the treble more forward if that makes any sense. But it is nothing that has ever bothered me tone wise.
