Per my other thread, I am having an issue with sensitivity knob. It cuts out the sound from 0-50%.
This tells me that the resistance of the pot at lower values is not enough to allow the circuit to flow freely as designed, and runs to ground too easily? So if I increase the 1k resistor on the board to 150k (half the sensitivity) I would start at 100k instead of 1k:
Original: Pot at 0, 1k resistor = 1k total (no sound) Pot at 50%, 1k resistor = 126k (just at the cutoff point) Pot higher than 50% +1k = > 126k
Modded: I add a 150k resistor and change the pot to a 100k pot Pot at 0 +150k = 150k (cutoff point to zero) Pot at 50%+150k = 200k (half my useable range) Pot at 100% (100k)+150k = 250k total same as original pot maxxed out...
Does that sound like it would work? I don't have the stuff but am willing to get it. thanks.
