the sound boost works and bypass, no sound at all when i select the OD
i insulated all the pots from each other, could i have blown the chip prior to doing this?
i have gone over the board twice

We really need to see some photos to be able to see what's going on and give you sound advice (no pun intended!). Please make them large (but small enough to fit on a single screen at reasonable monitor resolution), well-lit, well-focused close-ups of BOTH sides of the PCB and all of the jack and switch wiring. If your camera has a MACRO setting (most do; it is usually shown with an icon that looks like a flower), use that for these close-ups. There's a tutorial on how to post photos here at THIS LINK. Alternatively, you can use the forum's attachment function found at the bottom of the posting screen, but this may restrict the size of larger images.

One problem I notice immediately is that in the bottom tab of the PCB, between the footswitches, the right-most resistor should be a 100 ohm (brown-black-black-black-brown) and you have a 10K (brown-black-black-red-brown) installed there. However, that would cause the output to sound weak and not kill it completely, so there appears to be something else going on.

The first thing I would suspect is your soldering quality, which looks rather inconsistent. The component soldering on the back of the PCB looks fairly good overall, though there are a number of joints that don't have that smooth, shiny, conical shape we like to see. I would suggest just going through the back of the PCB and touching up any suspicious looking joints with a hot iron. Remelt the solder, adding a bit more to any joints that look skimpy. Also look for any evidence for solder "splash" or any solder bridges between adjacent eyelets that aren't already connected with a trace, and clean up any that you find.

Of greater concern to me is your two footswitches. Sounds like the boost switch works fine, so I'd leave that one alone, but the overdrive switch is the one that looks sketchier to me. Are you sure that the 4-9 jumper isn't touching anything else? I can't tell with the angle of the photos. Do you have a multimeter available to check circuit continuity through the switch?

the switches are ok i have gone over them with a magnifying glass.
i cannot find a 100 ohm resister anywhere onthe board or left over
i will do some resoldering
FYI when it is in OD mode i can hear a slight buzz in time with the strumming of strings

Contact BYOC at sales@buildyourownclone.com and ask for them to send you a 100 ohm resistor, because you were shorted one in the kit.

Even if the connections on the footswitch look OK visually, that's no guarantee that there isn't a bad solder joint or a defective connection down inside the switch. You really need to check continuity through the switch with a multimeter. So, to repeat my question, do you have one available?

yep, the switches are 3PDT. The lug numbers are laid out like this (with lugs horizontal):
1 4 7
2 5 8
3 6 9
check out this page for more info about how switches work: (scroll down a little bit to see the 3PDT graphic):
