It's taking all my willpower to not run downtown Toronto and pick up a Trinity amps 18 watt head kit (with transformers) for only $249! Without iron those things are usually $360.

They also have an un-opened Triboost kit for $40.

Help me with my willpower (or convince me of how awesome the deal is...ha).

Well, I'll let DVM speak for himself but I think he bought a kick ass amp from them recently or not too long ago that he loved if I recall right.

Does that help?

Ha! Depends on what you mean by 'help.'

I wonder if this is an older version of the 18 watt kit, as I don't see the same amount of holes in the chassis (it is a really small, blurry photo though).

$249 for an 18-watt kit is pretty damn good.

Ok, someone play devils' advocate here.

Why so cheap?

It looks like it's definitely an older version of the kit, as it only has 3 controls: volume, master volume & tone.

The newer ones appear to have dual channels and tremolo, etc.

Anyone know a history of these guys?

Actually, upon further inspection, I think they've mis-labelled it, as it looks more like a Trinity 5E3 kit than an 18 watt. For example, here's the one for sale:

And here's the 5E3 on the Trinity forum:

They sell those for $410+tax & $25 shipping, so it's not *as* good a deal, but at $249+tax it's still not bad.

Slightly less tempting though.
