Seems silly to look into modding a simplified trem lune ... but I was looking at the schematic, and it looks like the Sym mod could be added simply by running the opposed diodes and 500K pot in parallel between Speed 3 and Speed 2. I'm pretty familiar with the Commonsound version of the tremulus lune, but there are some differences in that area (different pins used in the chip, for instance, and a couple more common values of resistors), but it looks like there's definitely no need for trace cuts.

Since I got multiple boards, I was thinking of making one with the sym as either an internal trim or moving the gain or wave form internally and putting the sym on the outside. I have a friend who really loves the symmetry control on the trem lune and I was thinking of making one for him.
