So I've just dumped my Ibanez RG for a service at my guitare store. The RG couldn't hold the standart tuning perfekt any more. It always wanted to go a bit lower. The guy at the store said that "the blades had cut into the point were they balance"... So he's gonna fix it.

Now I just wonder, will I need to get i fixed again in 3-4 months? It has only lastet about those 3-4 months now. I don't really use it a lot, cause I really just use the FR when I'm playing around and making funny noises. If it really needs to get fixed that often, then I better learn how to do it myself, or else I'll be a poor guy in no time :(

I've heard that the edge pro is a decent trem, but the ibanez edge III is apparently a terrible trem, made with the cheapest materials possible

Yeah, edge pro should be alright.
I just talked to a guy, who told me that the problem occurs, when the guitar gets rough treatment... as if you drop the guitar.
