I have a Make Magazines RSS reader on my Mac's Dashboard and this caught my eye: http://blog.makezine.com/archive/2008/02/build_your_own_effects_pe.html

Anyone else read Make?

Sweet. I really hope the Make exposure drums up some business for Keith.

I also have the Make blog on my RSS, but I read from the bookmarks bar in FireFox.

And I'm a subscriber to print edition of Make. It's awesome.

I am insulted by the hater - I can understand plugging some other places that you're more familiar with or whatever... But a lack of resources? Nothing on finishing enclosures? Wha-wha-whaaaaaat? Has this person been to this forum?

I had never heard of Make till yesterday. Must be pretty popular because yesterday was our highest # of hits in a single day on record.

I'd be willing to bet he's never built a BYOC kit. So he's probably not aware that the enclosures come predrilled and most of the things that are a matter of preference like finishing and modification are discussed/archieved here.

Got mine up there earlier today. Gotta represent.

I'm tired of the hating, too. It's especially and irrationally bad over at diystompboxes. It perplexes me.

They have the Maker Fair here (I think it's in San Mateo) once a year. It's put on by that magazine. HIGHLY recommended. Tons of diy stuff there from instruments, rockets, robots.. you name it.

Anyway.. congrats on the plug I hope it does your business good.

Nevermind the hater. That's the internet for you. You give somebody a little anonymity and they turn into complete sh!theads. I make video games for a living and we have a community forum for the game I work on and forget about it... I can't even read that thing sometimes. But I need to remind myself that most of these people are either 12 years old or mentally incapacitated.

Or both.
