hey, well me and a friend ordered the parts needed to make a few for our pedal boards.

for wiring, best thing i was able to find was this pic

Image

what i needed help was figuring the best way to place everything on the vero board, i know some of you know a site for that.

plus no idea how I should wire up the 3pdt switch, led, stereo in/out jacks, power and battery clips.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check out The Beavis site, it's good advice, as well as good clean fun:

just did a search on ebay and got 4 really big pieces of vero board for like $20.

and anyone have any idea what it might be?

wanna know if i can still fix this one before i take it all apart. plus could be useful to look out for on the next attempts.

the pot might be shorting out your signal if its touching the enclosure because of soldering into those holes. you should always solder to the lugs of the pots even if they are pc mount.
theres also a few wiring issues. you should check all of your wires and compare them to the diagram on the beavis audio site, there is an extra yellow jumper on the switch which shorts out the input when you turn the pedal on, and there is no power for the led to turn on.

well at 1st thought it might be the pot as well, so i tried that and that wasnt the problem.

as for the wiring of the switch, was thinking I might of messed up on that and i should of just used the one in that diagram, but randomly decided to try this one on that other link instead.

but thanks a lot, gonna try rewiring it again when i get a chance, and lets see how it goes.

edit:

seems like i should just need to remove the yellow jumper wire and should work, correct? as for the led i just need to get the resister part to power and wire the ground to the spot on the switch where its at right now?

im not sure then, the wiring diagram there should work but to be sure id disconnect the yellow jumper and see if it helps. the led has a side with a flat nub, thats negative. make sure that side connects to the switch and connect the other side of the led to power

Yeah, that jumper just sends the board to ground when the circuit is bypassed, and removes pop or whatever. That wouldnt be it.

It is hard to tell from your photos, but it does look like your LED goes from the ground point on the jack, to the place where the stomp switch is supposed to have the LED negative side. So do you get any power to the LED at all?

ok time to bypass the switch. wire your circuit's input and output directly to the input and output jacks. how are you powering the pedal in that video?

And here is my little LPB-1 vero layout I did just for fun. I have verified that it works. I have been reading up on how to add some clipping diodes to this circuit. I think I will do that next. :-)
