Hi, nice board. I like this a lot better than the old setup.

I'd love to build another pedal, but I can't find clips here or anywhere else that show what the envelope filter actually sounds like.

Great job guys. I hope byoc is around for a very long time.

Jeff

I've never heard the BYOC envelope filter, but it's supposed to basically sound like a wah being rotated for you, exept it's a bit more predictable. Great for Funk. I believe it's basically an auto-wah.

Sorry, I don't have any clips. I don't think I've ever heard anybody post clips for that one either.

welcome aboard, i hope you have plenty of money cause you can't just stop at one kit, the only reason i haven't gotten more kits is because i don't have job, any one here offering a high paying job that requires little or no work?

I will be buying more once I get some other things taken care of.

Actually, I've been planning a multi-effect pedal for a while. It took me a while to get this box from Musician's Friend warehouse. (The knobs are just sitting there so I could get a visual on how many knobs I could potentially fit)

I saw it for over a year on the junk rack before I got someone to let me have it for a reasonable price. I gutted it and am planning how to lay it out for some future all-in-one small/medium sized pedal board.

I know that I want trem(already built this one and love it), chorus, delay(maybe two), envelope filter(if it does what I think it does), and maybe slow gear. I can't decide if I want to put distortion/overdrive in it or if I just want to have some loops that let me switch out different boxes. It will have a bypass to tuner and a loop for my wah for certain.

What do you think?

that is a sweet find you got there, you'll have to post pics when you get it up and running

envelope filters -

about 1/2 way down this page are some clips of the latest DOD envelope filter:

http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=150007

The 3rd and 4th ones sound a lot less thin than the first couple clips... Anyway I did a search at Musician's Friend for envelope filters and a lot of the ones they sell have soundclips recorded. None will sound exactly like the BYOC of course but it gives you a better idea of what an envelope filter sounds like. A lot of the whacka-chicka of the 70s (I call it porn music) without the work of rocking the wah that quickly. Plus, as was mentioned, it reacts differently based on the input signal so picking harder or softer would cause changes, etc.

thanks.

I don't know why, but I didn't get an email about your response to the thread.

I actually found a clip yesterday of the actual byoc EF.

oops! sorry.

It was actually a clip of a DOD 440.

I sure wish fuzzdog would do one. He's done everything else :)
