I've seen a few layouts for noisegates kicking around, don't havr the skills to build from scratch. This seems like it would be a good seller for BYOC. Anything in the works? Anybody know of a noisegate kit on the market?

Nope.

And I've looked around for one. Best I could find was the MXR noisegate PCB from Tonepad.

You'd think that with all those gazillions of yet another dirt box being on offer somebody would need a noisegate at some point.

FWIW, I've built two of the noise gates from Tonepad. Not so great. Passable, but meh.

Be sure to read the build reports! There's a resistor value error in the build docs that was never updated... it just plain doesn't work without the change.

The ISP technologies Decimator is awesome, but at AU $220 - 300 a BYOC kit that could get close to that standard would definitely be worth it.

harold sabro's got an ISP layout for vero, if you're so inclined. Looks a little intense for a beginner:

I just finished the first of two ISP sonic decimators I'm building.. I have only confirmed it works, haven't had a chance to really play around with it due to work :|

Based on others' reviews though, I'd say that's the one to build.

I wanted to build a noise gate for a couple of years, I expect the ISP will make me glad I waited for the right project to come along..

Are there any PCB's of this floating around that you know of?

Yup, that's the layout I'm working from too. Fyi, it's a bit of a pricey build, you won't 'save' too much over a used one on ebay, unless you're really well stocked up at home.. also, this layout uses relay switching, so it's not true bypass.
