Before you do spray anything, wait until the humidity drops below 65%...preferrably below 60%. Any spraying done above 65% humidity will almost certainly result in blushing.

Once the humidity is at a safe level, try misting some clear lacquer over the whole body and let it sit for about 3 hours or so.

Lol plaid.. dont do anything crazy man!! And hawk... shame on you for inspiring plaid to be foolish!!

So here is the update.
i took a look this morning and all is well! I put 4 more layers of nitro on it today and i have come up with a serious issue.

It looks too pretty for the pickguard i got for it. I dont really know what to get but i dont want to cover up any of the paint! Maybe a small pickup ring ir something.. i dunno

Any ideas?

I'll bring the mud and put my wife in their with yours (cuz my wife will protect me) and we can kick back and have a beer and ring the bell

Hey Phreek, I'm not even putting a pick guard on mine, but then it is routed for P-90's (Plaid's body actually scored from Chordball) and I think it will look great. But then my whole motif if you will is not going to look like a traditional Tele either.

Love the transparent pickguard idea per Kfuz.

Yep, wait a month...you can do it....you can do it  I was 30 days on the nose and all was cool. No gumming up or anything. But, as you can see here I had a little trouble and have to start back at 1200 grit wetsand. I just mention to you in case it helps you any

Finally done! I actually enjoyed carving the nut. I went all zen onits arse!
Neck angleis slightly off and the intonation cant be set without modding something.. but it is very playable and sounds awesome!!

Well.. what had happened was..

I went with no pickguard so the neck needed to fit tighter in the pocket. About a quarter inch movement.. then i realized that the saddles dont go far enough back to compensate.

Total bummer!!

That doesn't make sense.

Scale length has nothing to do with whether there was a pickguard or not.
In either case (pickguard / no pickguard) the neck MUST sit all the way into the pocket.

If the saddles will not adjust SHARP enough (towards the strap button) then either the bridge is misplaced or the neck is the wrong scale length.
The majority of Fender style necks will follow a 25 1/2 inch scale length.
The "scale" is the distance from the nut to the saddle for the HIGH "E" string.
To determine the scale of your neck measure the distance from the nut to the 12th fret and multiply by two.
