That's my boy, "Chief" atop my fully restored Univox U-155R.

They're great, until they decide to start using your cab as a scratching post. :(

Then again, I may have just got stuck with a bad batch.

Hehehe - mine hasn't figured this out yet, and he loves hanging out on top of mine as well. He likes hanging out any time I'm soldering actually too, goes nuts and tries to jump up on me in my chair, which he never does any other time. I think he likes the solder fumes too.

And yeah he would freak the eff out if I cranked the 30 watter that's his favorite perch!

So you get a little whine or hiss with that fuzz when you do turn up the knobs on the amp?

I just have to turn the amp on now and my cats split the scene let alone actually pick a note.

Thanks! He's a good boy, alright. 8)

As of yet he hasn't shown any signs of ripping it up.

LOL - same here - my boy cat runs when I flip the power switch on my amp, he is gone before I ever get it out of standby.

My problem is the "cat room" is my music room. Rule of thumb: Never turn the amp on while the cat is in the middle of taking a poop....it doesn't turn out well

My cat will sit 2ft away from me while I practice drumming  And while she's not a fan of the guitar amp, she won't necessarily leave the room if I crank it up loud. You'd think she's deaf, but she seems to have great hearing (for now).

Not completely relevant, but my parents had a cat who used to sit next to the fairly large hifi speakers, put his head side on to the centre of the speaker and just sit there with his ear slightly twitching. Bearing in mind it was probably Pantera or something else fairly loud and guitar driven being played, you would have assumed he was deaf.

Perversely, he really hated the Hoover, clapping and Elton John. I made one of those up.

My beloved cat, Spook who passed in 2009 HATED Judas Priest.

Specifically Rob Halford.

I brought home his solo album "Resurrection" and she just howled and howled over it! 8)
