I have just ordered a bunch of PIO and PETP Caps in voltage ranging from 200v and 400v.

These are the values i will have: 0.015uf, 0.022uf, 0.033uf, 0.047uf, 0.068uf.

Those are all NOS Russian made capacitor! 8)

Great for your guitar tone control, mojo in fuzz and whatever you'd like to do with them

I just want to gauge interest, price would be ranging between 1.00$ and 1.50$ a piece (they usually sell for 5-10$ individualy) plus shipping anywhere in the world.

Those interested just let me know :)

Quantity Available:

PIO 0.015uf: 0
PETP 0.022uf: 0
PIO 0.033uf: 0
PIO 0.047uf: 0
PIO 0.068uf: 0

Good Luck!

Rej

I'd be in for a couple of each value, but nothing in larger quantities for me right now. On a budget... :x

I would probably be down for a handful for my guitars.

Yes yes yes, I was just thinking about updating the caps and tone pots in my SG. Will check what values I want but I am definitely in for a small handful (6 or so)

This may help you with the values. PIO are really more linear/progressive than ceramic or polyfilm caps on a guitar.

If you usually use a .022uf on your humbucker guitar, i would'nt be scared of using a .033 or even .047.

Added bonus, is the filtering it does even if knob is maxed out, takes out alot of «hiss» or high frequencies that are not necessarely needed in your signal.

Cool to see that there is some interest 8)

Ok well that is interesting. I know next to nothing about the tone control in guitars, but i read somewhere that when switching to PIO you would want to go down in value, say from .022 to .015 (Rej i trust your advice far more than what I read fyi). I was thinking of swapping the 300K pots for 500Ks as I had read 500K is what was in the older Gibsons. Really my goal is to make the tone control more useful, I always have it dimed right out.

What I really want is to get my hands on a set of these: http://www.pickupwizard.com/index.php?pr=Gibson_Style_Humbuckers

Ok, well, i base my information on what i've tried and also because i like to have my tone controls to be really effective when i use one.

It's also from documentation i have from BKP, for single coil guitar they recommend a .015uf to .022uf and for humbuckers .022uf to .047uf.

For humbuckers, 500k is the way to go, if you can find some custom CTS 550k, you're in heaven my friend! :)

I always thought it was the other way around for humbuckers and single coil, and I don't suppose you know where we could source some of those 550k CTS pots? my epi SG sure could do with an upgrade

I can source 10x 550K pots, it's all i've found, from a luthier friend, they're like 6$ a pot....

For what it's about the cap, I re-reads my notes and building charts and i come up with the same results, lol.

But you know, for the price caps are, it can worth to try different ones!

I like my tone knob to act like a fixed wah and be able to get some «Kwawk», when rolling it up and down while playing.

Mojo Bump!

The order is placed, i will have 20 of each values up for sale.

In order to make the pricing fair and equal on every value, added the shipping cost of the order, each capacitors will sell for 1.75US$.

You can get at maximum 5 units of each value, to let more people have a grab on these.

I will buy more once i've sold those one, i'm fronting the purchase and you only pay me once i have the caps in hand.

I hope this is ok for everyone :)

I invite does interested, to tell their numbers, i will update the available quantitiy in the first post and quote your quantity to say that they are bookmarked.

Great!

So, yeah, shipping will be at maximum 8$ for those who would buy 25caps, for others it's between 3 and 5$.

I'd like two of every value, and if you can still get them at that price I'd like 4 of those 550k cts pots unless of course shipping to Australia is stupidly expensive, in that case you can keep your caps and I'll just make insulting comments about the Canadian postal system
