This technology could become very useful for pedals in the future when it becomes affordable.

If the material is strong enough just think of the enclosures you could design 8)

Could throw away the drill press too!

Sorry, but to me they look super cheap and cheesey , Like something you would buy your kid to pretend to jam with you :P

And you would think you would lose a bunch of sustain with a set-up like that.

Although thats what I thought about these http://www.teuffel.com/ , and people are giving them 5 star reviews pretty much across the board. So I guess looks can be very decieving.

Plus you better be one HELLUVA guitar player if you walk out with that thing on your shoulder! They will be expecting some flashy playing!

my favorite comment underneath the photos of the 3D printed-guitars: Now can we put Lucy Liu in one and hit copy?

Lucy Liu for the win.

Those are wild. I dig the LP style but yeah I don't know if I'd be seen in public with it.

Fugly fugly fugly! The LP shape looks ok, and I actually think something more along the lines of an explorer shape would look good, but that mini flying v type shape is just way to small and stubby. That said, go on the 21st century, pretty freaking cool tech on the go there.

Oh and those teuffels are even uglier!! I thought the whole no headstock thing went away with the 90s and hammer pants?

So, I guess it turns out that I am shallow and like looks over function. None of those "look" like a guitar to me, I need something that hits me in the guts and says "Rock and f@#ing roll baby"

I completely disagree. I think the LP is dead sexy. I would proudly stand on stage with that thing. Especially if you could get it in Red or Blue. And you could have all sorts of really slick little figurines in it. How about a Black LP with Star Wars figures, or Red with little mushroom clouds...
