Hello, everyone!

I attempted my first build last night but the pedal isn't working when activated. I'm pretty sure I know what the problem is but I'm hoping to receive some assurance from some seasoned builders to confirm my suspicions.

So it's the 250+ pedal and i believe the problem is that i'm missing a diode. The build kit comes with parts for the 250+ or distortion so i have a few extra parts and haven't been able to use the process of elimination to figure out which to solder in. It says in the instructions to add the jumper and i can see on the pcb that the circuit is broken without the jumper.

If anyone could tell me what the jumper is I'd greatly appreciate it!

Thanks,
Eli

Eli,

A "jumper" is not a part normally, it is a piece of wire or a piece of one of the leads you have clipped off a resistor or capacitor.

The jumper just jumps the signal or current from one pad to the other and looks like this ______

Hope that helps.

a jumper is simply a small piece of wire, or a leftover resistor lead that was trimmed off, soldered into place where indicated to complete the circuit. creating a bridge between the solder pads without installing a component.
