You're very welcome, Tonedeaf!

FWIW, I see a lot of cross-definitions when reading descriptions of lagers and pilsners. I think they're, like, in the same family, or something..

From New England Brewing's definition of their Elm City Lager:

Quote:
ELM CITY LAGER
Named after New Haven's historic nickname, this is a true German Pilsner made with all German ingredients. Our blend of pilsner malts and pure Hallertaur hops make this a perfectly balanced, crisp and refreshing beer...

I don't think it says "pilsner" anyhwhere on the can.. wtf?

It's the pilsner malts that make it pils, y'all

The pilsner malts make it lager as well, apparently. Whatever, it tastes a billion times better than Buttwiper.

I can't verify whether it is actually Maine's best IPA as I haven't tried all of them, but it is tasty

I'm glad you guys are keeping this thread going. I've been on Mars lately and just got back to earth  work, stress, mom hospitslized( you get the picture). Tonight for the Ranger gameImage3 down. this The other nightImage. And for my friends with beards Image stache goes above eyes now. I haven't done Squat with electronics lately. I did have a custom fixie built (still in process) from Mission Bikes in sunny S.F. Kunfuz, I gotta go back and get that beer info for you and me a growler

Lego! Excellent on both beer choices, and the crazy stache. Sorry bout moms - hope she's doing better real soon. Still holding out hope for the Caps myself. They're a bitch to play against aren't they?

And we lost, paper said if Ovi scores we lose. We lost. Mom got out of hospital, she had double pneumonia and flu, doctors misread X-ray and phucked her up. 90 min IPA is the shit, the urthal is sweet. Uh oh, Tortorella is pissed

Well if it's any consolation Ovi did almost no scoring against the Bs and the Caps won in 7 games...

Since the sun is finally out its time for a summer beer.

Well it's up to game 7 now  I finished the last of the Dogfish 90 min IPA and went to the 60 Min IPA's. What a difference between the two, the 90 is over the top and I love the bite compares to the 60

Yeah you can't really drink the 90s before the 60s - at that point the 60s may as well be coors light :)

Hooray for craft beer in cans!

The two 12 packs are for our annual trek to the Mountain Jam music and camping festival next month. We decided to stock up early this year instead of having a heart attack at our beer tab when we buy all at once.

Went to a beerfest at a football stadium today. All kinds of kickass brews. The little tasting cups made me feel like a giant, lol..

Did you try something new that was really good?
And yes, the porter was chewy, oily and very very smooth

Yes... only problem was there were so many. Too many to remember. They handed out a checklist at the gate when you got your tasting cup, but do you think we remembered to check all our favorites off? No, we didn't.. lol.. My wife did manage to check off a few, and pulling some from memory:
Founders Dirty Bastard - Scotch Ale
Old Burnside Penny Weisse - which they sell in growlers here, woot! Excelent citrusy summer weisse. I usually don't like summer beers, or weisse, but this one was really good.
Stroudt's Scarlet Lady ESB
Lagunitas Hop Stoopid - I don't always like hop-heavy beers, but this one had something special going on. I swear, it smelled a little like pot, lol..

Thank your wife from me jefe!
And now, 11.7% of imperial love! Hoppy and sweet, just as I remember, and with a hell of a bite! Aftertaste, bitter choko. Me love.

Here's a very interesting, very unique, very tasty brew. It's a "Bacon Brown Ale" by Uncommon Brewers. And it's a tallboy!
