I know there's been a couple of threads on using iOs devices for digi-rigs and recording. But does/has anyone used one with a MIDI controller as a live instrument? There's some pretty sweet apps for making all sorts of sounds (Just downloaded SunrizerXS for free this weekend, it's pretty cool). Anywho, anyone have experience? I've been looking at this...

I've got the Akai SynthStation 25 for my iPhone and it's a lot of fun. We recorded some of our last album with it (using the 50in1 Piano app---the cellos are pretty awesome).

Otherwise we've done open mics with the same app running on my iPad with a line out to the PA. It blew some minds that our ogran sounds were coming from that with no controller (my wife has small hands. Ha).

Sweet! I've never seen that before, I'll have to check it out. I don't have small hands, haha :(

I've got an Akai SynthStation 25 too. It's a fun little toy for the price, but I've never used it live. More for just messing around with.

I use synthstation 25 and midibridge!
With midibridge you can use apps that don't support the synthstation, it's amazing!
We use it for mellotrons and analoge leads live with Obrero, got 2 of them places on top of our amps. 8)
