Just got this one last night.
Had been looking for a used Gibson J45 True Vintage for a while now. Amazing condition and plays superb!

Really like the True Vintage compared to the Standard. Really nice craftsmanship and work on this guitar. Had been trying J45s for many months now and these True Vintage ones were the clear winner to me.


Going to have my friend who is a very experienced tech take a look at it later this week. Needs a slight truss rod adjustment but I am going to let the guitar settle into my home for a few days first then let him do the work.

Very nice. I don't own a single Gibson electric, and I don't have any GAS for one… but Gibson acoustics are so sweet. I'd personally go J-200, but this is a beaut! Congrats.

I took it to my friend tonight who has been an acoustic guitar tech longer than I have been around to get a check up/look over. He was impressed with it and agreed I made a good acquisition. He did confirm my suspicion that the nut was aftermarket. He also said the nut and saddle weren't all they could be (that's the short version) so he is making me a custom bone nut and saddle. That coupled with one of his amazing setups tailored to my playing style and I can't imagine how good this guitar is going to sound!
