It's not. Then again, I'm not really a Gritty's fan. Shipyard and Honker for me when it comes to the local brews.

Hello fellow beer lovers, look what I got today

The Growler is the Deviant IPA also by Oskar Blues and delicious. I haven't done squat in electronics these days, I spent my last dime on a custom bike I've been dying for and she arrives next weekImage

Probably have drank a few hundred over the years. Agreed. If you have nothing else. Problem is I got used to the strong dark taste of some micro's and then I try one of these and it seems weak. Still tastes good though.

Any beer lover passing through Louisville, KY has to stop at Sergio's World Beers. The beers change but there are always a 1000+ to choose from. If you ask for a water there, they will bring you a Bud Light.

The beer menu is more like a book.

A Tuesday night sampling with a couple of friends.

Nice! I've tried the Weiss dark and like it a lot but the normal Hefe I love to death.

Since we lost the whiskey thread in the SQL data migration (I think, I can't find it...) I present to you:

So many Scotches, so Wednesday and I need to get up for work.

Btw just killed the McLelland's. If you're an Islay guy like me you can't really go wrong with McClellands, generally runs about $25. It may be replaced as my budget bottle though, that Ardmore I got for $22 at a tasting, and it tasted fantastic!

Tonedeaf, what did you think of the Bowmore Islay? I just got a bottle of it, and I'm not sure I like it. I'm starting to think that I just don't like single malts.

Hey fuz, what'd ya think of that Black Chocolate Stout?
I've gone through several packs of it and love it.
In fact, I've got a couple bottles I stashed away in November that I'm gonna crack open next month for my bday. :D

Man, I really gotta put up some pics of the stuff I've been drinking.

It's possible. Tough to start with an Islay though, they burn a lot of peat to dry the malts on that island and Islays tend to be real smoky. The Bowmore isn't one of my favorites, anyway. For me it's not smoky enough, and also not smooth enough.

If you want to start with something smoother try a Highland. Glenmorangie, Glenlivet, Glenfiddich, Macallan, lots and lots more. In that pic there are a few Higlands, some smokier and woodier than others.

My first addition to this thread. My favorite local brew. I'm watching Jersey Shore Shark Attack, so I have a feeling I'll be downing a few of these!
