Dude you are practically in NY? WTF?

My wife has been begging me to go to Montreal at the end of the summer.......with the new job, I can swing the trip, so maybe we'll meet up, if you don't mind waiting until my wife and kid fall asleep so we can drink beer and talk pedals.

Multi-family road trip! We've been wanting to go to Montreal for ages as well.

Montreal is awesome. If you haven't been, go - it's one of the rare times when everybody tells you how cool a city is and you get there and you're like "yep, they were absolutely right."

If a Canada thing happens, I'd be into it. I need to get my passport renewed though ...

I've been to Montreal a few times, but my wife hasn't. I always loved it. We may be able to do it without the kid, depending on when we go, so we can be a bit more "free".

We already have a vacation planned for late August, so dont know if we'd go before or after that. I'll speak to the wife and keep you'll posted.

you guys should come up to ontario this weekend!! im building a new shed and could use the extra hands

seriously though, if you guys are driving to montreal and crossing into canada thru niagara falls, you should stop for a pitstop in hamilton, ill fix ya's up with some hospitality and such.

im having a big bash on june 23 if anyone wants to come. also, a huge fireworks display for canada day around july 1, might even happen on june 30.

montreal is a real great city. i will nevwer forget my first time there, many years ago, i was actually with this girl from nebraska, who used to come up to see me and buy good canadian seeds haha. so we go to this little seed shop in montreal and the owner gave us a huge chunk of his fave strain to try out before she bought the seeds lol. very friendly, just dont get lost.

I get lost every time I go to Montreal! The city is great, but getting in/out always perplexes me.

I went once for a long weekend with my wife earlier when we were dating. We had exactly this trouble. Getting around on foot from our downtown hotel was awesome and super easy. Except finding that blasted underground shopping mall thing, still have no clue how to get to it.... But getting in to the city and getting out, not so much fun. Reminded me of like a miniature part of Manhattan driving. Too many lanes, always in the wrong one, things are set up in blocks but you still can't get there from here- because being in the wrong lane has forced you onto the interstate or a tunnel or something. Too funny, at one point when we were driving looking for someplace to eat after we had checked out of the hotel, my wife was driving and unable to parallel park in traffic so actually stopped the car, double parked on a busy city street, got out and switched with me so I could parallel park. The Montreal peace officers were kind to us

Anyway yes absolutely great city - and much more kind to non-French speakers than they are in Quebec City :)

I agree that going In and Out is a serious PITA, but when some of you guys go over there, let me know, i have a «hacker» passing line, just so faster...don't mess with the bridge that are always clogged...

And yeah, ToneDeaf, you're absolutely right about how people in MTL are more friendly with non-french-speaking individual.

I try to avoid at maximum to go in Quebec city.........fakin' Cocky frenchman...who think they are everything....seriously hate that place, it's super nice but the people are not...

I speak french really well....

But i'm not a «separatist» or «patriotic» about the whole «Quebec» thingy..........so they just hate me....

Greatest stripper club i ever went, Chez Paré cost 2 arms and a leg....but DAMN!!!!!!!!!
