Thurs, Fri, Sat, and Monday. The old guy was working, this memorial day weekend (give or take a day or two).

You are up early for coming off 4 gigs! I barely got up after beer, pool and the sun yesterday.

How do you know he isn't just getting home from the Monday night gig?? ;)

Glad to hear you're racking up the on-stage time, Geek! Image

Ooo, good point. See I told you I'm not awake. Geek is sleeping right now I think.

...or possibly the Friday one and he's running late for the other two. :)

Isn't it strange how some people give up valuable pedal building time for other activities like playing musical instruments?

Only those with talent thus this is not a problem for me. My pedal building surpassed my guitar playing ability...which is rather sad :|

Nobody said his pedal building was any good, he only said his guitar playing was worse!

I used to think my playing was bad. Now I have a son who shreds at me every day to make sure that I know that my playing is bad. in fact as I get older I seen to forget things faster than I learn new stuff, so I'm probably getting worse!

Time to build another pedal...

Made me smile, but the truth is, it is the most wonderful feeling to play gigs through a rig that I built (I built my amps and Tele as well), with the wonderful players I play with playing music I enjoy. A complete circle, and when I build a new pedal (or dcountry13 builds me one) and I ad it to my board, it's exciting to introduce it in the evening at some point. Rob is building me Paramix w/all tweaks and I can't wait to run synthbox II and dipthonizer into it.....so many pedals, so little real estate.

 Both posts made me laugh.

In all seriousness Geek, I'm happy for you.

Yep, good to hear that you're getting plenty of opportunities to do what you enjoy.

I'm still hiding from the people who went to my last gig!

...and that was in 1987.

And you say you don't even like doin something you like for 20 years, give it up daddy :P
Playing with your own built gears is the bonkers! I will never forget when I fired up my Germranger thru my dist+ at the Obrero-releaseparty, and everyone went deaf

That's a lovely story, and yes, you are correct.

Yeah Geek! Sounds like a fantastic weekend. Lot better than sitting around, eating meat and drinking beer, which other than that a botched attempt at an alternator cover replacement on a friend's bike is all I have to show for the weekend!

Geek differs from us....he is a musician. Its not what he does...it what he IS.

This past weekend, he was just "being".
