My latest (2nd) BYOC build - the delay. I got the kit from someone selling off theirs in the Lounge and put it together and darned if it didn't work as it should on the first power up. I was inspired by some designs in the Pedal Pageant and decided to do a little graphic work on this one. 2112 always reminds me of delay since there is some pronounced effects in the Overture section of the song and since Rush is my fave band, I went with the 2112 delay pedal. All stock with the exception of the 50k delay time mod. The controls have appropriate song titles for labels and the LED is surrounded by the starman logo.

Enjoy!

As a fellow Rush fan, great job! Where did you get the graphics for the decails?

As the builder of the "Test for Echo" delay, I'm glad to see there are other Rush fans showing off their appreciation of what I consider the most talented band around.

I got the graphics from the Power Windows site

Power Windows

I used Photoshop to get the watery star so that it would work on a white background and used the 2112 font for the text.
And the same site has the fonts as well.

I was inspired by your designs but did not want to copy directly what you had done. (Although Test For Echo is about the best name for a delay pedal out there!) Glad you liked it!

P.S. Did you get a chance to see them on the latest tour? I caught them in Milwaukee last week and they were incredible (as usual). We were fortunate enough to score some really premium seats on Alex's side. I thought this latest set list was a really great one with some gems that they have not played in a while.

Yeah, I got to see them in Vegas. I'm outside of Denver and wanted to see them at Red Rocks, but my wife had planned a family trip before they announced the tour dates. So a bunch of the guys flew to Vegas for a couple nights and saw them there.

I now appreciate the fact that up until this tour I had always seen them outdoors. The sound inside the arena wasn't the greatest because of all the echoes, and I didn't bring my earplugs to filter out all that high frequency garbage. But, as usual, they were stellar. I agree, that set list was great, with some stuff I didn't think they'd ever play again.

I'm so mad I misssed them on this tour. Saw them on the previous one though (2004 I think) outdoors and I will 100% agree that they're much better outdoors than in. Of course, the indoor seats I had were nosebleeds on the farthest end of the arena from the stage. You could see a solo folk artist and have bad sounds in a seat like that...

Oh, and the pedal rocks - nice work!!
