I just finished the Trinity Tweed Deluxe amp kit and I can definately recommend it. When I build pedals I usually have to troubleshoot. This thing fired up first time. What a feeling. Will give it a real test Tuesday at an "acoustic" gig. Keep you posted.
Check these guys out. They're great. http://www.trinityamps.com

Sorry, no pictures. I havn't gone digital yet. And yes, I am aware I'm the last one.;)

NICE! Congrats on the successful build. And catch up with the digital age. You can get a decent digital camera for about the same money as a decent soldering station ;)

how's the bass response? i have one built from the mojo kit and i really struggle with cabinet rattles due to the bass response. spent a long time chasing them all done.

haven't exploring altering component values yet as i have with my 18watt.

Had the amp running for a few hours to see how it likes the heat. Still didn't have a chance to really open it up and play it hard. I can give you a better tone description early next week. I'm very curious myself. Sounded good with the volume halfway but I didn't get a chance to really dig in at that volume.

i finally caved and changed the first coupling caps from .1 to .022 on recommendations found by uncle google. seemed to do the trick. now maybe the amp won't rattle itself apart with anything other than a tele bridge pickup.

RE: Trinity; I was checking out thier site and are they not way over priced? From what I'm reading you don't get transformers, tubes, cab or speaker right?

How is the construction on the chassis and board? Is it turret or eyelet?

The Deluxe kit includes transformers and tubes. It's the bargain of the lot. The other projects don't. I think, in this case, you get what you pay for.

I think for an 18 watt project their prices are comparable, no?

I'm playing out with the amp tonight. Feild test report forthcoming.

My Deluxe is not boomy. I had it at 4 or 5 and although I didn't bang on it all night (it was just a duo "acoustic" thing after all) i still gave it a good work out. The big difference (probably) is that I'm playing mine through a separate cabinet (a 2-12" with 1-12" in it) Those combos can be the cause of lots of tone loss.
