Scratch the existing diodes and wire three different combinations through a DPDT On-On-On toggle.

Won't be using the Easter-egg holes, as I'm burning my own board  Hence, the schematic.

1. Can you confirm this would work? (C'mon, humour an old man) :D
2. What diodes, aside from the stock ones, would you recommend for the asymmetric part?

Hmmmm. Maybe some nice, fat, N4001s or the like. How about two N4001s in series with a 1N34A across them in parallel :?: :?

Cool, thanks ...

It's 2:30 a.m. and I can no longer see straight, so the rest of the offboard wiring is destined for the morrow. :D

Another quicky ... does it matter what LED's I use, and do they both need to be the same colour? (i.e. do different colours have different properties?)

I'm asking out of necessity, as I have low supplies (well, 3 actually) :D

I'm not sure it really matters. Some people say they can hear a difference between colors. To my ears, the reds sound a bit crucnhier than the yellows. You can always socket the spots so you can experiment :)

Thanks mantas ... personally, I'm rather 'anti-socket', so I'll experiment off-board and see what I like.

I'm putting the clipping on it's own mini-pcb ... :D :D (I have way too much spare time)

Actually that's what I do to. Almost all of my off-board components go on perf board :)

But there are some that might think spending an entire day, designing, a board, etching it, populating it (just for 3 clipping modes remember) and getting it in the box is a touch 'extreme'? :D :D :D

Naz wonders if investing in some perfboard might get him out of the house more often?
