Anyone here have an internal picture of a completed envelope filter they could post?

This is the pedal I think I've picked to start with. I would like to see a completed one for reference.

Thanks alot,
Trav

usually people seem to build a distortion based pedal as their first. What made you choose the envelope filter, may I ask?
Also, I dont have an internal pic

I was looking at this one first because it was something I've never tried before.

I just thought it would be something fun for rhythm work in a band I just got started in. Doing some Herbie Hancock and some other funky kind of Instrumentals.

I was looking at the Tonebender or Fuzz to start with, but I've got an overdrive, distortion, and a fuzz on my board that I like (today anyway) :)

So I thought this could be put to more immediate use.

Are the other ones a better starting place?

No, they arent better to start off with, just more in demand or need, I would say. Not everyone NEEDS an E/F, and some would say they need a damn good tube screamer overdrive or a ... fuzz.
Envelope Filters are cool. And from your reply, you should definately build one. Youll get alot of use out of a great, cheap (price, not quality ofcourse) pedal. Do it, and good luck.

actually, the 440 filter is probably the easiest kit to build. Unfortunately, I don't have any gut shots either.

What exactly is it that's confusing you that you think seeing a pic of the completed pedal with help you with?

you don't really need a pic, the instructions were more than enough for me

I guess my major question was that I wanted to see the difference between the aluminum electrolytic caps and the film caps.

As this will be my first build I wasn't exactly sure which were which.

Thanks again,
Trav

The electrolytics will look like little cans. The film will look like chiclets.
