This thread has been running for about 3 years on our local music forum. All you do is say what you're listening to. It's one of the few threads that doesn't descend into name calling and arguments; people just seem to respect what you're listening to whether they like it or not.

So, I'm not actually listening but I've just put this on my iPod;

Image

A remarkable album, recorded with Reason I think. I might be going watching him this November if I can persuade someone to go with me. No-one seems to like him but me

The Juno Soundtrack, haha. Before that I was listening to Akron/Family's self-titled. Delicious psychedelic folk.

Underworld's "A Hundred Days Off" album.

And on the way home today, I had a nice listen to New Found Glory's "From the Screen to Your Stereo" cover album.

Now:
Dinosaur Jr - Beyond

Earlier today:
Half man half biscuit - Actung Bono

In the car to work:
Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip - Angles

I sit at work on my computer and listen to music all day while I "work" - I get through loads of music. If I couldn't listen to music I don't think I could do my job!

Oh man, Dinosaur Jr. are one of my favorite bands, ever. I've been trying to learn all of "Get Me" off of Where You Been. This morning, on the way to work, I listened to Mock Orange's Mind Is Not Brain. It's like Pavement and Modest Mouse fused into one and it is totally awesome.

Where You Been is a fantastic album! Every time I buy a new DJ album and listen, I love it as well, but always go back to Where You Been and am amazed all over again.

Man, all you guys' listening makes me feel 'generic' by comparison. Not listening to anything now, but on the ride here it was Buddy Guy from 'Buddy's Baddest'.

I have this feeling that my ipod has somehow evolved and developed artificial intelligence because it continues to play just the right song on shuffle.

The Replacements - Left of the Dial

Here's my two cents on Dinosaur Jr, loudest band I have ever seen live. Beyond is a great album.

Left of Dial - Awesome song.

Dinosaur Jr. is a great band and one of the loudest bands ever. "Green Mind" is one of the greatest albums ever. "You're Living All Over Me" is almost as stunning. Everything about them screams "I like getting high in my dorm room". My cassette of "Where You Been" still smells of incense and weed.

Excuse me as I go listen to "Bake Sale" by Sebadoh on my lunch break.

Without question, the most amazing live show that I've ever seen. He connects with the audience in a way that is light years ahead of other performers. If you ever get a chance.......

I'm STILL heated that I completely missed him playing literally almost in my backyard, right here at a historic theater in historic downtown, New Bedford, MA.

I hardly ever listen to a complete album anymore because of this.

Currently: "Poison My Eyes" by Anthrax from the Last Action Hero soundtrack.

Was listening to Rush - 'Snakes and Arrows Live ' in the car on a coffee run. Good set. Sounds like every other live Rush CD as of the past decade or so, except, you know, containing tracks from the latest album.

It almost stopped me listening to albums too. I really enjoy listening to albums and only listen to shuffle with computer time. Believe it or not I still have a whack of vinyl and a cassette player in my car.

Conway Tweety "Rest your love on me awhile" and now Steely Dan "Pretzel Logic"

I was just listening to the whole "Understand?" album by Naked Raygun before I popped in to the office to answer a few e-mails. Sometimes I'll shuffle but once in a while I'll need a whole lot of a particular artist and throw an entire album on.

I am a Dinosaur addict.

However... currently listening to "Bakesale" by Sebadoh. Just before that was "Bizarro" by The Wedding Present.

Right now listening to the Superfriends album by Sweet Water (not the one that played at Woodstock). I love this album. It's so unknown and yet so super-awesome. Angsty indie hard rock. Love it.

I knew I liked you CJ, though I liked Sweetwater more when Dudley was still in the band. I may be biased because they're a local band but I think they were totally underrated and I think it stinks that they missed the whole "Seattle" boom.

Dudley is the man! Second Coming was better when he joined and nothing when he left too. If you have a Seattle band and you really want to make it cool, just get Dudley Taft to join and everything will be alright. And he's a really nice guy. Also, little known fact about Dudley Taft... he is actually the great, or great, great grandson of president Taft. Cool, huh?

Honestly, I know next-to-nothing about the band or their lineup. I just know that Superfriends is an ass-kicking album from start to finish. I absolutely love it.

Lynyrd Skynrd - Nuttin fancy (remaster - its dramatically better).

Jeff Buckley - Grace.
